Life can get heavy. And even a bit messy.
Anxiety that won't quiet down.
A mind that won't stop overthinking.
School, college, relationships, or family pressures.
Grief that shows up when you least expect it.
Or simply feeling stuck and not quite sure why.
You don't have to wait until everything falls apart to ask for support.
Spill Your Tea offers virtual counseling for teens and young adults who need a place to slow down, talk honestly about what's going on, and find practical ways forward.
No pretending you've got it all figured out.
No judgment.
Just real conversation, thoughtful support, and tools that make sense for real life.
There's always room on the porch -
even if we meet online.
Sometimes counseling begins because something big happened.
Sometimes it begins with:
"I don't really know what's wrong. I just know I don't feel like myself."
Both are enough.
Counseling can help you understand what you're carrying, recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop healthier ways to respond to whatever life is asking of you.
The goal isn't to "fix" you.
It's to help you understand yourself better, build on the strengths you already have, and feel more confident navigating what comes next.
When your brain won't turn off, uncertainty feels overwhelming, or worry keeps getting in the way.
When motivation disappears, things that used to matter don't feel the same, or you're going through the motions instead of really living.
Understanding how past experiences may still be shaping emotions, relationships, reactions, and the way you see yourself.
Making room for loss in all its forms—including death, relationships, family changes, transitions, and the future you thought you'd have.
Navigating communication, conflict, trust, friendships, dating, family relationships, and learning when—and how—to say no.
Managing academic pressure, friendships, expectations, independence, career decisions, and the sometimes-messy transition into adulthood.
Understanding how your brain works and developing strategies that build on strengths rather than constantly focusing on what's "wrong."
Finding your footing when life changes— even when the change is something you wanted.
Being a teenager today is a lot.
School. Friendships. Social media. Family expectations. Anxiety. ADHD. Identity. Figuring out what comes next.
Counseling gives teens a place to talk without having everything figured out—and to build confidence, coping skills, and practical tools for life at home, at school, and beyond.
Adulthood doesn't come with an instruction manual.
College, work, relationships, independence, family expectations, and figuring out who you want to become can bring plenty of possibility—and plenty of uncertainty.
Counseling offers space to sort through what's happening, understand yourself better, and move forward with greater confidence.
When someone you love is struggling, it's natural to wonder what to say, what to do, and how to help.
Coaching offers practical guidance to help parents and partners better understand what's happening, strengthen communication, set healthy boundaries, and support meaningful change at home.
Coaching can be a stand-alone service or complement a teen or young adult's counseling when appropriate.
Sometimes helping one person means helping the people who walk beside them, too.

The first visit isn't about having all the answers.
We'll talk about what's bringing you in, what's been happening, what you've already tried, and what you'd like to be different.
Then we'll decide together where to begin.
You set the pace.
Insight matters.
But understanding why something happens isn't always enough to change what happens next.
Our work combines meaningful conversation with practical strategies you can use outside of therapy—whether that's managing anxiety, challenging unhelpful thinking, regulating overwhelming emotions, strengthening communication, setting boundaries, or approaching difficult situations differently.
Because the real work doesn't happen only during the counseling hour.
It happens in the life you're living between sessions.

Counseling is individualized rather than built around a single technique.
Depending on your needs, our work may draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches, motivational interviewing, solution-focused strategies, family systems concepts, and practical skill building.
The approach follows the person—not the other way around.
Progress doesn't mean struggling again.
Sometimes it looks like:
Small changes count.
And over time, small changes can become very different ways of living.

Spill Your Tea counseling is currently offered through secure telehealth.
That means counseling can happen from a private, comfortable space without adding another drive, waiting room, or commute to an already busy week.
Virtual counseling is available to clients located in states where the treating clinician is licensed and when telehealth is clinically appropriate.
