A Trauma Training Series Designed for Helping Professionals to Enhance Their Clinical Knowledge and Access Valuable Mental Health Resources.
The Story Beneath the Story is a five-session Front Porch Learning series designed to enhance clinical knowledge by helping clinicians look beyond what is immediately visible. This series aims to deepen understanding of the experiences, adaptations, and survival patterns related to mental health and trauma. Each session stands on its own, but as you follow the full series, the pieces begin to connect. Through this trauma training series, you will gain the tools to understand, connect, apply, and ultimately make a difference.
We often think of trauma as the event—the pebble that hits the water. However, not every trauma story starts with a single identifiable event. Instead, it can resemble rain: experiences that repeat, accumulate, or subtly alter the landscape over time. Typically, what leads someone to seek therapy is not just the original pebble or the continuous rain, but rather a desire for clinical knowledge and understanding. Utilizing mental health resources, such as a trauma training series, can help individuals navigate these complex experiences.
The anxiety. The shame. The emotional flashback. The inner critic. The need to please. The urge to withdraw. The difficulty trusting other people—or themselves.
Front Porch Learning invites clinicians to deepen their clinical knowledge by becoming curious about those ripples:
What happened? What accumulated? What adapted? And what might the client still be carrying today? Explore our mental health resources and consider joining our trauma training series to enhance your understanding.

Four Sessions. One Connected Clinical Conversation.
You don't have to attend every workshop to benefit from the series. Each session explores a distinct clinical topic and provides practical knowledge you can take back to your work.
Together, the four sessions invite us to follow the story a little further.

Her role with Front Porch Learning emphasizes the importance of clinical knowledge by connecting theoretical concepts to practical applications in the field. This includes clinical judgment, case application, ethical questions, and documentation, as well as addressing the real-world concerns of professionals with the common query, “Okay...but what do I actually do with this on Monday?” Additionally, her work involves providing mental health resources such as a trauma training series to help practitioners effectively utilize these concepts in their daily practice.

In Denver, the approach to mental health resources emphasizes a trauma-focused lens that combines clinical knowledge with an understanding that healing is often anything but straightforward.
Her teaching invites clinicians to look beyond symptoms, grasp the experiences underlying them, and engage in trauma training series that foster curiosity, humanity, and a space for the client's complete narrative.
Together, we create room for clinical knowledge, practical application, and honest conversations about mental health resources—along with the occasional trip completely off-script during our trauma training series.
